In short: RepCast is a coach, not a doctor. Exercise within your limits, clear the space around you, and stop if anything hurts.

Using RepCast

These terms apply to the RepCast app for Amazon Fire TV, its phone camera page, and this website. By using RepCast you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use RepCast.

Your health comes first

RepCast gives general fitness guidance. It is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor or physiotherapist.
Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise routine, especially if you are pregnant, have a health condition, an injury, or haven't exercised for a while.
Stop straight away if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath or discomfort.
Rep counts and form notes come from a camera and can be wrong. Use your own judgement.
The Analyse with AI report is written by an AI model (Amazon Nova on Amazon Bedrock) from your workout's numbers. It can be wrong, and it is general guidance, not medical advice.

Keep your space safe

Clear enough room to move, away from furniture, stairs, pets and children.
Place your phone where it can't fall or be stepped on, and keep cables out of the way.
You are responsible for how and where you exercise.

Your phone, your network

The camera page needs a phone with a camera and an up-to-date browser. The live picture needs your phone and TV on the same network. RepCast uses your internet connection, and your provider's charges may apply.

Fair use

Please don't misuse RepCast: don't try to join other people's sessions, overload or attack our servers, or use RepCast to film anyone without their permission.

Price

RepCast is free. There are no purchases, subscriptions or ads in the app.

Open source

RepCast's source code is published under the MIT License on GitHub. The fonts on this website are Barlow, under the SIL Open Font License. The 3D trainer animations are made with Mixamo by Adobe.

No warranty

RepCast is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or right about every rep.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any injury, loss or damage that comes from using RepCast, including from exercising. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms as RepCast changes. We'll change the date at the top when we do. If you keep using RepCast after a change, the new terms apply.
